     Assalamualaikum y'all!

DO YOU OFTEN WASTE YOUR LIFE DOING PHYSICAL ACTIVITY OUTDOORS? ARE YOU FINDING TROUBLE FITTING IN LONG INCREMENTS OF TIME DEDICATED TO SURFING THE INTERNET? ARE YOU STILL LIVING IN YOUR PARENT'S BASEMENT?
If you said 'yes' to any of these...
then you should be reading Under Urooba's Umbrella!

It's a blog chronicling an eighteen year old's (namely, me, Urooba) experimentation with life. What started as a personal style blog, it has now metamorphosed to not just that, but a writing blog, as well as an online journal of sorts. A blog to help passions flourish.

And you can read it! And follow it! With just several hundred thousand payments of $freetime, you too can enjoy life again!

    So don't delay, read today!

*read at your own risk. Side effects may include dizziness, extreme euphoria, nausea, the occasional chuckle, a grin, awe, extreme sympathy, nods of agreement, a wtf look upon your face, as well as others. Ask your therapist before reading Under Urooba's Umbrella.

    WINNER: BEST FOOD BLOG: www.Muslim-Wife-Kitchen.blogspot.com

    Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem

    Assalaam Alaikum

Welcome to my kitchen! This blog was first created as a way to share my latest culinary adventures with my family, but soon expanded out to friends and now to many new friends, alhamdulillah.

Here in my kitchen you'll find some of my prize recipes (you gotta try this pizza dough and these cupcakes are simply the best!) as well as some creative fun ideas (ever tried eggplant pizza? how about a batch of hamburger cupcakes?).

So I invite you all to come on in, try out a few recipes and in turn, please share your ideas, reviews and tips with me, insha'allah!

WINNER: BEST FASHION BLOG: Hijabi : http://hijabiii.blogspot.com/

     Assalam Alaikum everyone~!

I'm Shamma (you can also call me Shums) and I started to blog about hijabi fashion during March this year. I am a 21 year old living in a tiny chain of Islands in the Indian ocean known as the Maldives.

I've always been interested in trying to wear the hijab in different ways. I started wearing the hijab when I was ten years old and since then I'd always wanted to beautify my hijab and wear it as neatly as possible. I believe that wearing a hijab doesn't exempt a Muslim woman from beautifying herself and looking neat and presentable.  It is important for a Muslim woman to present herself to society as a symbol of modesty, dignity, beauty and humbleness. A Muslim woman is required to cover herself but it does not mean that she cannot look good while doing so. There is a fine like between looking smart and good and looking seductive and if we keep this in mind we would be able to look modest and beautiful at the same time. This is one of the reasons why I started to blog, because I wanted to express myself as someone who observed the hijab and looked fashionable while doing so.

    WINNER BEST NEW BLOG: http://haurainsiyah.wordpress.com/

    Bismillahirrahmanirrahiim..
    Assalamu'alaikum..

Hi sisters! First of all, I would say thank you to our sister, Amber, who had put her greatest efforts and ideas for this award. MashaAllah.  :)

So let me introduce myself, I'm Ola Fadly, I come from Jakarta, Indonesia. I'm a wife (newlywed on the hood! lol), and a student at the same time. On this great moment, I would like to nominate my blog for the "New Blogs" Category for East - South Asia region. This blog was made on August, 6th, 2010. It contains mostly about my daily styles, events, hijab tutorials, and articles. I hope I can share to other women who aren't wearing hijab that hijab is cool, hijabers can be stylish, and pretty, of course. :P On the other hand,  I was so inspired by other hijab blogs that made by our sisters. They are all awesome!

This is my latest photo on Haura Insiyah.

WINNER BEST GENERAL BLOG: American Muslimah's Musings

    Bismillah and Salaam alaikum,

I originally started casually blogging in November 2009 about two years give or take after converting in 2007 as a way to process and share my experiences as recent Muslim convert and my point of view on the world. I have to say that my blog has evolved over time.

I hope that my blog pushes people to think - myself included and that it opens up discussions on topics that are often taboo and not discussed openly in the Ummah.

    Currently posts are on:
    Peace Corps Application Process
    Politics / Current Events
    Halal Food Products
    Life
    The Husband Hunt
    Recipes
    Islamic Knowledge

And anything else that interests me that I want to share with the world. :)
